This morning at church I mentioned to a friend the holy card rings that I had for my boys when they were babies. They are the perfect little quiet time toy for church.I came home from church thinking that I needed to find ours- they would be perfect for my grandson who is coming up on his 1st bday. Sadly, ours have disappeared (although, I am hoping St. Anthony might yet help me out ;)).
I do have a stash of holy cards though, so I hole punched these and put them on a ring to give to my grandson. Our old ones were on smaller rings, but this size might be nice for a one year old's little grip.
*My only warning is that the cards do have sharp edges. My boys never had a problem, but I could see a little one poking his eye.

I LOVE this idea! It might even be an excuse to buy some laminating paper and fire up the small laminator I got for free a while back. My youngest is 9 months old and already looking for things to keep his hands busy while we are at Mass. He's too young for the small books my older boys used as preschoolers, but this might just work!
