Floating Picture Ornaments Show and Tell

In a previous post, I mentioned trying to show off these ornaments a little better. I have to say that photos don't do them justice.

Just to give an idea- Paul hung some garland around the kitchen window for me to showcase the ornaments on.

I tried in vain to take a picture that would turn out. I finally went outside and took the pictures from there looking in to the house.

 Each child/grandchild has an ornament.

Or couple if that child is married.

Again, my picture taking just doesn't do them justice.

These were ornaments were started pre-Pinterest era, but I guessing that there must be a "floating picture ornament" tutorial out there somewhere. My daughter, Shauna, made/makes these for me.

Memories::Christmas Tree Craft

I was searching Pinterest for some Christmas craft ideas for my crafty 3yo granddaughter. Looking at those pictures (the ones that you can tell the kids actually made) brought back happy memories of craft times past.

This ice cream cone tree is one of my favorites.

Marky back in 2007- even back then he was serious about his crafts.

Paul and Julia also taking theirs seriously.

James is very happy with his!

Christian found his tasty. :)

My group of happy crafters.

Isn't this adorable?

And this is where it all went wrong! And why I smile when I remember this day. I had red piping for the kids to add to their trees. It seemed like an innocent enough idea- and the kids were perfectly happy with the results. I couldn't help think that it looked likes someone had bled on the their trees!! I did not say a word about it. I promise. ;)

It was a happy crafting day.

That ended in a sword fight! I'm not sure why, but all of our cousin gatherings
seem to involve sword fights.
