Catholic Baby Steps: My Pretty Table

I introduced my very pretty "freecycled" table in December.

It is so nice to not have to move everything off the
kitchen table when we want to eat!

For the feast of St. John Bosco and the month of The Holy Family

(end of January/beginning of February).

This week for St.Valentine's Day, the month of the Holy Family, and

in honor of The 7 Sundays of St. Joseph (new to us).

Erin brought home these balloons from the dollar store and
made a bouquet for us!

So cute!

Pray for our Children

For the Choice of a Good Spouse

St. Raphael, you were sent by God to guide young
Tobiah in choosing a good and virtuous spouse.
Please help ___in this important choice which
will affect ___ whole future. You not only directed
Tobiah in finding a wife, but you also gave him
guidelines which should be foremost in every
Christian marriage: "Pray together before making
important decisions." If through prayer she/he
keeps God as the "third Partner" in her/his marriage,
she/he will have the strength and grace she/he need
to always accept and do His will. Amen.

A Prayer For Priests

Keep them; I pray Thee, dearest Lord.
Keep them, for they are Thine
The priests whose lives burn out before
Thy consecrated shrine.
Keep them, for they are in the world,
Though from the world apart.
When earthly pleasures tempt, allure -
Shelter them in Thy heart.
